December 1, 2015 - The 2015 edition of the CIPHEX Roadshow was a hit with exhibitors and visitors attracting 1124 contractors, wholesalers, engineers and other industry members to the one-day events held in Burnaby (BC), Edmonton (AB), Regina (SK), Brandon (MB) and St. John’s (NL).

In total, one hundred exhibitors took part in the travelling event; companies could choose to participate in any or all of the shows.

A total of eleven (11) SEMINARS were presented at the five shows drawing a combined attendance of more than 325 industry members. Expert speakers covered topics on plumbing code updates, water heater regulations, selling hydronic heating and rainwater harvesting. Alberta’s Chief Plumbing Inspector Sidney Mannings’ presentation in Edmonton on “What to expect from the New 2015 National Plumbing Code” drew a standing room only crowd of 110. The Canadian Hydronics Councils’ session, developed for the CIPHEX Roadshow provided hydronic sales tips and strategies to more than 100 visitors from British Columbia to Newfoundland.

Visitors’ number one interest in attending was to see and learn about new products, and they weren’t disappointed; 56 new products were displayed in the five regions and continue to be showcased in the CIPHEX ROADSHOW ONLINE NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE. The Online Show Guide also includes a detailed list of all EXHIBITORS AND PRODUCTS.

Two-thirds of all visitors (and 83% of contractors!) intend to make new purchases based on they saw at the CIPHEX Roadshow within the next three months, demonstrating that trade shows that draw quality audiences can have a significant impact on buying decisions. Visitors were interested in a wide variety of products including plumbing (70% of visitors), heating (67%), hydronics (43%) and water treatment (40%).

The CIPHEX Roadshow is produced by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), with support from the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association (TECA), the Canadian Water Quality Association (CWQA), the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) and the Canadian Hydronics Council (CHC) as well as CIPH BC Region, CIPH Edmonton Region, CIPH Saskatchewan Region, CIPH Manitoba Region and CIPH Newfoundland Region.
